2. Vaarlan monastery founded in 1518. Monks live up here, high in the mountains above Kalambaka. Awe inspiring sites. Most supplies were brought up on ropes and nets before the roads were built. Now I think they are tourist attractions. There were 25 monasteries built on these mountains, now only 6 left.
3. My fashion skirt. Women have to wear skirts to enter the monastery, men must have pants and no head covering.
4. This monastery has been converted to a nunnery, that is what it is called.
